Having finished watching this movie, which, by the way, I don't expect to last very long at Google Video, I can say that it is brilliantly well done. It didn't need to be President Bush, it could have been a completely fictitious "President," and the movie would have been equally as brilliant.

Using actual footage of protests and other public scenes-- footage of this President giving his speech, everything, lends power to this movie (and reduced the production budget of the film). Its "currentness" is what super-charges this film-- not that Bush is the subject... It could have been any "President." As a pseudo-documentary, it simply works. It is remarkably well-acted, and produced, and the multiple POVs presented make this film more powerful than ever.

It plays out as an amazing "Whodoneit" story that keeps the viewer on edge until the very last." in the meantime, the filmmakers play every stereotyping card possible, which, I HOPE, challenges the belief systems of every "blocked-in" Partisan "Idiot American" everywhere... But, I hold out very little hope for that.

This is simply one of the most riveting "Whodoneit" movies of all time, and worthy of the widest viewing available. I really, really hope that people of America will get past their Political ideologies, and view this film the way they view every and all incarnations of "CSI: Wherever, Whatever."

There is no difference.

This is simply one of the most powerful "Whodoneit" movies EVER produced... If you are a Republican, you will probably weep more than I did... But, I must admit, that I got so sucked into this movie, that I DID weep, on several occasions, especially when the Secret Service Special Agent, the Chicago FBI Agent, the White House Speech Writer, each spoke... those catches in their throat simply broke me up.... Yeah... even for Bush-- I really did not want him to die, even knowing that that was the premise of the Film. It's easy to forget that he, and all of the people charged to protect him, are human. This movie brought that back to me.

George's Policies are pretty whacked, but, the Lord knows that I do NOT want to see him killed... It would take a pretty sick person to want that-- as evidenced in this film. Impeached, yes, sent to the ICC, probably, but, I wish death on no person, anywhere, EVER... PERIOD. Legal actions only... After all, Clinton was Impeached for lying under Oath over a Blowjob... Legally, if questionably. He survived, and continues to atone for his "sin" by doing Good by anyone's standards. That's what we hope of our Leaders when found guilty of this or the other... It's very rare when we really wish death on the individual. If the Crime is heinous enough, we might want Legal Execution. That's understandable.... That process involves multiple Appeals, and the accused can always appeal to the Governor of a state, or the President of the United States, for a Pardon, or a Stay of Execution.

That is the nature of American Justice...

This movie succeeds because it depicts real time events, a real time President, real time issues, shows how the Media is willing to run with faulty facts, and artificially produce a demand for a Guilty verdict.... Hello, Nancy Grace... Hello Fox News... Hello CNN... and how America is susceptible to the Current State of American Media.... The whole media take is absolutely subtle, and the viewer is taken in by the fact that the ENTIRE film is presented as a "factual documentary," and we Americans WANT to believe documentaries. They are factual, doncha know.

This IS NOT like watching "CSI: Wherever," in so far as it is depicted as ABSOLUTELY real events happening in our lifetime.

This movie rips to shreds our National Prejudices and the polluted "Conventional Wisdom" within the Washington Punditry, that is infecting the American Populace.

This Film is HUGE... Watch it here while you can...

Oh yeah... The irony of the Google Video Title for this movie is not lost on me.

"Smutt Peddling," heh.
