Could massive blood loss due to trauma be considered a cause of acquired Factor VII deficiency? If a soldier is dying and the surgeon can't get the bleeding to stop fast enough then I would guess the risk of clots and stroke, etc is acceptable if the alternative is death due to bleeding out.
