With the new round of hype about the "amazing" PS targeting being thrown around this board, I am reposting something I wrote here in November 2017.

I am the one who said Bavi as an anti-cancer strategy is BS because it has two problems. First, the massive numbers of PS molecules exposed on apoptotic cells serves as a sink to draw Bavi away from tumors. Older people are more likely to have cancer and they have more apoptotic cells making their sink for Bavi larger. Second, the large number of PS molecules exposed on tumor cells makes Bavi a poor method of shutting down immune suppressive responses. Specific receptors are a better target.
