I am beginning to think Rufus' hold on reality is slipping. After years of pulling this little con out of the way of heavy regulatory heat, he took it to the "show" and now his world is rapidly crumbling around him. This is never an easy thing to accept but accept it he will as he has no choice in the matter.

Truth be told, he has been under investigation for a while by the state, it just never was the kind of priority until he took it to the street. Over the course of the next few weeks, you will see his illusion continue to crumble and with it, he will find it more and more difficult to delude himself into thinking his old trick of taking it up a notch is going to work here because it's not.

If he manages to get an attorney and delay the default judgment long enough to get to DC for this meeting, IMO that will be the moment when it ends. When he stands on that street corner and the only people who are there have come to watch the train wreck, he will suddenly feel very very alone and he will realize it... and he.. are through.. and not only that, he won't be able to do it again...

Once the SEC gets through taking that which he owns.. he may well find himself shoveling manure out of barnes and trying to convince the horses about some future deal....
