I wonder if we (the long time readers of this board) could have been better served if we were able to have access to the banned posts. We cant deny we most likely have been scammed here. We need to, as a group, better protect ourselves against scams like this in the future.. How? Well, It looks as though many or at least some of the so-called bashers of SLJB were right all along and, God forbid, just sharing some dirt that they have uncovered.
I took a big loss, which is OK! As long as I learn from this. But what if I had access to the banned messages so I could, using MY OWN discretion, sift through them looking for clues? I, and I think most people, understand that some people are either paid bashers or just pps manipulators. My point is, however, this is AMERICA. The FREEDOM of speech is perhaps the greatest gift America has given to its people. The reason we have freedom of speech is because EVERY opinion matters even if the opinion does nothing more show the competence or lack there of, of the poster. The WHOLE internet is an expression of the freedom of speech. Lets not deny access to the the INFORMATION that this freedom produces.
I feel that access to the banned posts MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE could have collectively saved people 100's of thousands of dollars here and kept it out of the hands of the perpetrators of this whole mess. I understand the point of banning certain posts for various reasons. Not allowing access however, to all opinions is a detrimental to effective trading. I want the option to due good hindsight DD.
I say, continue to ban at your discretion. Each Moderator likes to give their boards a different flavor. Thats great! But we should allow, people who so choose to, access to the banned messages and decide for themselves what is pertinent and what is not.
Being savvy to the scams on the pinkies is an art. People should never be denied access to information. Think of it, INFORMATION is the single most important tool here. In fact, its the ONLY TOOL. It doesnt make sense to me that someone else decides what information I can or cannot read.
Does anyone agree disagree or want to add to what I have stated?
