Thanks for the link. Is this what you wanted me to read?
"Brilacidin is being developed as a novel, non-corticosteroid, non-biologic treatment, with formulation plans including oral tablets for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease, and foam and/or gel for mild-to-moderate Ulcerative Proctitis/Ulcerative Proctosigmoiditis (UP/UPS), two types of IBD."
Because I said this....
"To my knowledge there has been zero discussion of a pill for Ulcerative Proctitis/Ulcerative Proctosigmoiditis."
....in the pretty firm belief that UC and Crohn's were the diseases that the pill is intended to target and NOT Ulcerative Proctitis/Ulcerative Proctosigmoiditis. The reason that a pill would have so much benefit and revenue potential in the treatment of the former two is that they can affect those hard to reach places....places that a foam and/or gel can't reach....whereas UP/UP are always accessible via the rear entrance.
Am I mistaken?
I don't think the Company has been exactly crystal clear on the distinctions...witness the last 4 words of the quote at your link:
"two types of IBD"
Are they referring to UP/UP when they say that? Because UC and Crohn's are types of IBD as well...the primary types. In fact UP/UP are actually forms of UC. Just ask IPIX:
"Ulcerative Proctitis and Ulcerative Proctosigmoiditis (UP/UPS) are two mild forms of Ulcerative Colitis (UC), an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (pdf) (IBD), involving only the rectum and distal colon."

If you do have a link to show that there has been some discussion by the Company of a pill for Ulcerative Proctitis/Ulcerative Proctosigmoiditis THAT is the link I'd like to really see. Because I might be mistaken....but I don't think so.
