FROM today, the cost of cigarettes will rise for the second time this year.

And it’s not cheap. Cigarettes will rise 12.5 per cent from 71 cents to 80 cents per stick.

The average price of a 25 pack of cigarettes will rise from $25-$30 to $28.25 — $33.90.
