It makes so much sense when you leave so much out!
ME As you are aware, we went to war with Iraq in 1990. That war ended under the terms of a treaty. Those terms were broken many times leading up to the invasion of Iraq. Hussein started the war. Without that happening who knows if 911 would have ever happened.
YOU Except, all but one of 9/11 terrorists were Saudi's.
and Desert Storm was over in 100 hours.
thanks for playing.
1. 9/11 brought us to war in Afghanistan, not Iraq. The Gulf War was ten years earlier. 2. Desert Storm was six weeks long, not 100 hrs.
You're purposely dishonest or just plain ignorant to the origins of the Iraq war.
You said there was a lot to explain about the Origins of the Iraq war.
Ever heard of this guy?
What is bin Laden’s ideology? Bin Laden and other militant Islamist leaders issued a 1998 manifesto denouncing the presence of American troops in Saudi Arabia, U.S. support of Israel, and the economic sanctions imposed after the 1991 Gulf War against Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. "To kill Americans and their allies, both civil and military, is an individual duty of every Muslim who is able, in any country," the manifesto reads, "until their armies, shattered and broken-winged, depart from all the lands of Islam." Bin Laden regards Western institutions—coed schools, MTV, Rotary clubs, democracy itself—as depraved.
Has bin Laden declared war on the United States? Yes, in 1996. "Due to the imbalance of power between our armed forces and the enemy forces," he wrote, "a suitable means of fighting must be adopted, i.e., using fast-moving, light forces that work under complete secrecy." https://www.cfr.org/backgrounder/profile-osama-bin-laden
Saddam made a huge miscalculation when he thought he could invade Kuwait, unimpeded by the world.
It was and still is, all about the OIL, and the power it holds over the world.
