In 1978 during my Political Science 101 class we learned that the
definition of politics is "compromise." Given that TPL management
has no intention of negotiating with Oliver, the entire fiasco will
end in suits and counter suits. The Trustees will spare no expense
in this fight, they will take the Trust down to its' last dime to
keep Oliver from taking his trustee position. In all my years of
following corporations I have never found a more contemptible
management. Unless they have something to hide, their actions
make no sense.
