Reports will twist the truth to try to get higher reviews for an article. I had an encounter with a T V news reporter at a Low income housing project I was constructing about 5 years ago. One resident who liked to be seen called all the local news stations to report so-called indiscretions in the construction of the apartments. Several stations responded and quickly determined that there was no story. However, one reporter pursued it. He set up a meeting with the local building dept, the health dept, and the housing authority. We walked and inspected all the allegations. In the end the head of the building dept made a statement noting that there were over 200 units there. They were constructed well above local building standards. then he stated that as in all housing projects there are some warranty issues that is it were his house he would want fixed. He appeared on the evening news saying'"If it were my house I would want it fixed." the reporter completely left out all the positive responses by the building dept, the housing auth and the health dept.

Do reporters twist the truth in their reporting. You can bet your ars they do. What was reported was true, but he turned the outcome into a lie by only airing only part of the truth. The local government demanded a retraction from the station and never got one. the company I worked for lost several major contracts because of the story. So, I can relate to what Petar is dealing with this.
