When I see the word "granted," I think of the word "given," as in there was no payment. However, this is from Gaeta Therapeutics' landing page:

Seems to me that OncoSec purchased a license unless one was "granted" ("given"). I doubt any company would just hand over its intellectual property to another. I don't think we have all the information.
