Share price goes up or down not because of short sellers. It entirely messes around by day traders and flippers. These guys can glue to the screen do these all day long. If they can make $10 or $20 less fees they are happy. You can check this out very simple, one the ticker inches up a bit, and then following by the price drops so quickly.
