asus I have learned the gap lesson well. Technically you would think the overlapping wicks showing the trading range for the day would eliminate the gap but that is not the case.

A gap is formed when the previous days closing price is different than the following days opening price.

So Dart is correct in his statement of the candle bodies verses the range or wicks indicated on the charts.
