I do not have an IR background. I'm just an interested investor who went on my own dime to see what they had going on there. I had been speaking with management here and there for some time.
They kept inviting me to come so one day I finally decided to just do it. When I arrived I guess I made a good impression and after our frank and good conversations about the business and its goals, etc they asked me if I was interested in being a liason for them with US investors for the time being.
I do not speak Chinese although I am starting to learn some. The company provided translators for the business meetings and the rest of the time we spent together they bought a device which translates 35 or so languages and we used that for just average conversation. It came in pretty useful when they took me to see Tianmen Square and the Forbidden city, etc, or when we were just having meals.
