That Twitter user is jumping to conclusions, and wrong ones at that. Increased g-fees don't benefit the government whatsoever unless the NWS is still in place. The government has no reason to suggest a g-fee increase that only benefits shareholders.
I think this is just another way to justify increased spending by finding an offset, albeit one that likely won't even exist anymore in 12 more months or so. In other words, a nothingburger.
