John Ratcliffe said that what “started all of this” was “a fake, phony dossier.” But a House Republican intelligence committee memo said it was information about a Trump campaign foreign policy adviser that sparked the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into Russian interference in the election.

Thing is, rooster, the Australian government news was the news that alerted intelligence agencies, and that plus info from other countries, and the
Steele dossier, would be plenty to open an investigation. I'm not a hundred percent sure exactly what the intelligence agencies had at the point the
investigation was opened. And unless that article of yours has more, which i doubt (haven't read it yet) you sure as hell don't know for sure either.

You really should take some time to see how this has developed, beginning with Steele using Bruce
Ohr and his wife to legitimize the Russian Dossier. Pretty interesting if you can look at it objectively.

The investigation did not start then. Surely you know that.
