Geo, so we might have hit the phytoplankton mother lode?
;)
Yep, I'd agree that we need solid "bottom line" stuff before a whole lot is going to happen. If your Big Guns have been lurking/buying, they've been buying low, accumulating gradually for a while. Will it be those folks who will buy on good news? Seems to me, smart money buys low and sells high, or at best, holds for higher.
Perhaps if actual production news is good enough going forward, smart money will add, or new smart money will buy betting on MUCH higher, and that could indeed help drive the price up.
Smart money (and shorts) probably can't count on any more Russell-selling-type opportunities to get large chunks of shares on the cheap, at least I hope not, so .... hopefully we won't see any 100's of K's transactions that don't move the share price up.
Soon the Major Institutional Holders stats will be updated through 9/30/06 and we can see how our current institutional interest is doing. It will be interesting to see whether they've held, added, or sold during the last quarter while much news has come out about development wells. They are part of the "smart money" theoretically.
I imagine retail investors will play a part as well, NEW retail investors perhaps, and that will also be triggered by definitive production news/reports, as well as being triggered by stock price upwards momentum ... IMHO.
'Show us the money' mean anything here? Probably.
