My daughter plans to go to Canada this summer to visit the family.
Big surprise, Canadians with dual citenzenship MUST have a Canadian passport to get on a plane for Canada. New law since 2016
The logic is completely lost on me. So, my French wife can come and go to Canada on her French passport, but me, as a born and bread Canadian cannot go with my French passport, refused entry, my kids included, both born in Canada.
Haha, ex-wife has dual citizenship as well, born in France, but she can't go to Canada now without a Canadian passport. LOL
So anyway, I'm banging my head against the wall looking at all the hoops you have to jump through for a Canadian, living in France, to get a fucking Canadian passport.
Then I recalled why I have a French passport and not a Canadian, there were fewer hoops 10 years ago for the Canadian one, but less for the French one, which cost less and was good for 10 years instead of 5.
And all I have to do was show up a city hall to process the papers.
Fucking nonsense
