p/e 's are "subjective" and always a great topic to chat about but the reality is for small companies it IS ALL ABOUT THE GROWTH imo (per the pros - cva's - certified valuation analysts).

now if the net goes from $10 to $1,000,000 then that isn't something to rely on in which case you would look @ sales growth instead. early on these small companies can experience huge growth percentages due to simply starting out @ $0 sales & negative income in which case a p/e multiple of 100 would still be considered conservative. so, in other words, you say you are being conservative using a p/e of "30" or "8" but you are not. you are being ridiculously conservative and that will cause you to leave 70% of the amount you should make here on the table. not reco'ed imo. use 100 p/e and take the canolis !
