Hmmmm...excellent opp. for TA! LOL
Lessee...it took over 5 years to tally the first 10M posts, and only 8 months to tally 4.73M more posts (as of 7:24:47 P.M. on 11-12-06).
4.73M new posts in 8 mo. equals approx. 590,375 posts per month. Now, assuming there were less than the average 590,375 posts on the first of these 8 months, and more than 590,375 on the last of these 8 months (due to compoundedly & 'rapidly increasing' posts), using the compoundedly & 'rapidly increasing' rate of 1.05058141, Diaphantus would calculate there were approx. 547,763 posts on the first month of the last 8, and 620,237 posts on the last month of the last 8. Divide the latter number by 30.5 days per month leaves an average of 20335.6 posts per day.
Factor in the compoundedly & 'rapidly increasing' rate of posts going forward, posts that will be deleted by Matt, posts that will be deleted by me from Jagman, posts that were deleted by deletion-happy moderators, TOS violations and vulgar/personal attacks, spam/advertising, and promotional, the occasional double posts, downtime due to technician hangovers, with the fast approaching Thanksgiving holiday (possible absent vacationers), the position of the moon, high tide in San Diego, and the present 14,730,681 posts as of 7:24:47 P.M. on 11-12-06 and my guess would be:
Wait! First I need to know what date and time IHub booted up 6 years ago, how many posts were deleted by Matt, how many days and hours 'something wasn't right' (again, technician hangovers), how many people have been jailed (thereby eliminating their posts from the database), and the date Raging Bull members first realized IHUB rocks! Upon reciept of those factors, I am sure by using Diaphantus's methods of calculations, I can be within seconds!
Matt? I'm counting on you. I need those numbers! LOL
