ok, I stand corrected on some of the counts Kthomp, should not have used "NEVER" but I can remember some quarters where neither Fannie or Freddie did a press release on Swipe dividends, and I believe SOME of the settlements were not disclosed in a press release or otherwise.... Their "master" (Watt) probably told them not to put out press releases on how much or what the settlements were, you know full well that this money was to remain "stealth" just like the Swipe payments always were.....
I remember thinking about 2015 when the old "Broken Business Models" were being chanted every day by the GSE-haters, Hensarling, DeMarco, the whole gang, and then F and F would report earnings of $20 Billion for the year, yet nary a mention in the press how these cash machines were killing it, "inspite" their "broken business models" and how they put the taxpayers at risk.... RISK to the tune now of a NET PROFIT approaching $100 BILLION -- put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!
