DHR and Pall I am very familiar with because they were on the opposite side of a patent infringement action I began engagement in ~ 1989. It settled in 2016, involving filters that you mention. 3M was the ultimate client I worked with as a result of its BO of my original client in 2004. I could write a book on that case.

Needless to say I could have invested in DHR on settlement; no conflicts existed then. We didn’t. We had invested in 3M long before 2004; a conflict objection that could have been made by DHR/Pall was waived by counsel so our 3M investment remained intact—my role was “important” but no needle mover for either 3M or DHR.
