Over time these wooden shipwreck sites were reduced to ballast piles
through the combined action of wind and waves, and the scrambling process became accelerated. The ‘scrambling process’ in the Muckelroy wrecking model means that the artifacts have been extracted from the shipwreck and are lying on the sea-floor or have floated away – extending the site.


Below is a screenshot from the reports submitted to the Bureau. It shows how scattered the finds have been. The comment above is also from the report. It seems to be in line with Raider's theory, don't you think?


Also, most of the artifacts were found in Area 2, not the current site.
