Do you follow the WLI (Weekly Leading Index) from ECRI? They have been very good at predicting the twists and turns in the economy

I then try to post my charts of the WLI growth vs the Markets http://www.suite101.com/discussion.cfm/investing/37993/1625-1634#message_10
As the charts show, there is pretty good correlation. The markets AND the WLI are both supposed to predict the economy. The last year, the charts line up well but longer term I am not convinced.

Still, it is worth subscribing to his forum to get an email when he posts updates. He also posts updates there when he will be on TV so you can send him questions.
