The reality for MMEX-scam is reliance upon ignorance.

Midland-Odessa is a C-market media outlet. Fort Stockton doesn’t even have a media market tier - it’s below C-market. Papers like the Pioneer don’t have real journalists - they’ve been bought out, laid off staff, and now parrot community service announcements, PSA’s, junk PR from sources like MMEX-scam, and run ads.

They don’t vet anything, because they don’t have the necessary staff resources.

The problem is compounded in revenue-starved rural locations like Fort Stockton. MMEX-scam understands this, an can leverage lies, B.S., and manipulation to take advantage of relatively poor rural communities, lacking opportunities, and hope.

In reality, Fort Stockton, and the Pioneer have nothing to lose as a victim of MMEX-scam - if it comes true, they see a few bucks, if MMEX-scam fails, it wasn’t their fault. Fly-by-night con artists like Mad J. understand this - it’s part of their grift.

Somebody needs to tell the Fort Stockton news paper that they are promoting a scam. Don't these journalist do any DD or follow-up?
