I tend to believe gilead knows what we have and knows they are about to lose alot of market share in hiv which ias why they are now focusing on other investments such as nash etc. In the meantime they will soak the hiv market for all they can. You are correct in assuming they probably don't want to spend all of their cash reserves on a drug just to protect their space. Seeing as how leronlimab is a unproven game changer in all but the hiv space but has the potential to be the biggest blockbuster drug ever. I am sure nader wants the whole farm for leronlimab not just the chicken coup.
