Swiss, I made 100% on my Lehman bonds. Just about the same 30% annualized return. Obviously many made money in Lehman distressed debt in the PAST. Those times are over and many have moved on. I am speaking of today. No one is buying Lehman discounted debt claims TODAY is going to make those type returns. Like I said, probably 10% or less. My point is, why are they not now investing in the CTs to capture these great returns you all see?
The reason is that the CTs are dead money. Any funds invested in the CTs today and held to the end will see their entire investment lost.
>>why wait hours in line when you have the money to wait minutes? <<
Many of us got in to the CTs and made our money in minutes, and got out. Again, that was in the past. Anyone buying lehman distressed debt claims today have the same time horizon as the CT holders as we are close to the end. Probably two years. Let's stay focused on a today's trade. The past means nothing.
