Cheney: Yes, it is apparent that there is real danger of a
civil war developing. We have successfully installed a puppet
government, albeit a bitterly divided government. We've
manged a bit of an army though many have deserted and many
are of suspect allegiance and we have a bunch of soldiers of
fortune making huge bucks as security forces. When I think
civil war, I think Antietam, Gettysburg, but we are getting
close. We have heaps of sectarian violence, with our death
squads and the Al Q boys doing a great job creating fear and
uncertainty. And we really have the Sunni and Shiites going
at each other, just like we kept them at killing each other
for 8 years in the '80s. We knew they would go at each other
tooth and nail, but the problem is the people are starting
to wise up to our lies and our subterfuge. We f'ed up and
didn't expect to lose this many American lives. We wanted to
do it and so we did, but now we have to stage our get out
carefully or we will look like total assholes. We really
don't care how many innocent lives are lost. None of our boys
or girls are over there are there? None of those of our close
relationships, I mean.
