There is no aggressive search for a visa holder who overstays their visa period. The data is out there. Hundred of thousand visa expire without an exit from the country.

Illegal aliens are released (catch and release) and told to appear in court later. A substantial majority of those do not appear in court.

If you think there is a rigorous enforcement of current immigration laws, it has to be willful ignorance.
