Barr turned down defense attorney job with Trump: report

Comey said Friday he liked and respected Barr, calling him a good attorney general candidate who will serve the department again well.

Comey said he was sure that Barr would talk to the appropriate career officials about how to handle the special counsel probe.

"I know he's an institutionalist who cares deeply about the integrity of the Justice Department, so I'm sure he'll use the
standard career resources he has to judge what he should be involved in and what he shouldn't be involved in," said Comey."

Since Barr was asked to be Trump's defense attorney Al Sharpton and others see a conflict of interest in Barr's overseeing an
investigation into which Trump is a subject of. Some believe if he became AG he should recuse himself, as others have done.
