I see a lack of understanding of this litigation in general as well as the purpose of a Demurrer.

Maciora challenged Ed's Answer to Maciora's cross complaint as insufficient. The judge's ruling means it needs to be rewritten and refiled. It's not a loss. It's a do over. "As this is the first challenge to Starrs’ answer to cross-complaint, leave to amend is Granted. Starrs may file and serve an amended answer no later than 12/17/2018."

Nothing was won during this week's ruling. However, the judge did do a good job of highlighting Maciora's deficiencies--even moreso than Ed's. "Demurring party Maciora failed to comply with CRC Rule 3.1113(f)"
