Some major companies already have tissue adhesive products for use in closing wounds. For example, J&J has Dermabond, which is reportdly the established market leader. 3M sells adhesive sheets to close wounds.
Why should one be sure that these companies would want another product to market? Would it cost a lot less to produce than the current products? I am told that this is a price sensitive market segement.

Obtaining a 510(K) clearance from FDA will not be so difficult, provided that the application is competently done. There are a lot of 510(K)'s for topical wound dressings, so the template is well established. The real question is, "will some company sell it?"
