actually giving this a bit more thought. Based solely on K2M being acquired by stryker. This might not hold weight considering spinal kinetics divested of "intangible" assets upon acquisition and K2M PR`d 3d printed Titanium (possibly titanium nitride coatings). Do either of these indicate cutting ties with AMDA upon acquisition?

I assume a much easier regulatory pathway to Titanium nitride coatings vs. Silicon Nitride in the old methods the FDA was using, simply using Titanium as a predicate material. I think. Not sure.

So, this may indicate either Zimmer's got this by the short hairs. The big boys won't touch SiNi. Or I`m reading too much into this and Spinal kinetics and K2M never closed down their R&D involving SiNi. The Timing is still off for PR`ing any partnerships for anyone but AMDA.
