My real hope through all of this is that building codes are changed. I work more on the commercial side but I've installed plenty of walls, ceilings and doors in places where fire suppression matters.

I don't have my certification but I have dealt with enough fire inspectors that I could be one of them.

I never looked at it from a residential point of view. Watching a reporter stand in front of a house literally being engulfed made me cry. Why didn't he and the camera man grab a fucking hose? The two houses next door were untouched. Why don't they make intumescent building products that will at least take a hot ember?

Fires, hurricanes, El-Nino winter coming....

All that's happening lately makes me want to go back to school for Civil Engineering.
Mother Nature is going to take back everything she needs.
We need to respect her before she really gets pissed.
