Where do you come up with these sites?

First off, I stated clearly that I received this in my mailbox. So, it is not a site I dug up.

And, after a bit of research, it appears that the Santa Monica Observer has been around for about 20 years. So, it must be somewhat reliable.

I agree, I can not find a story anywhere else to substantiate this one. It is why I asked if it may be a fake news story, or, in other words, if anyone else had come across a similar story.
