The entire court case is about the DFI license with Iterated. That license is for a version of the VDK2 compressor that runs on IBM PVS/SGI supercomputers that has nothing to do with the Intel-based version of the VDK2 that TMMI bought and paid for in the 1990's which went undisputed during the court proceedings. The Intel version of the VDK2 consists of both the compressor and the decompressor. The IBM PVS/SGI version does not include the decompressor, therefor Dimension has no legal means to playback VDK2 compressed video. It is clear that Dimension did not even understand the details of the license between DFI and Iterated. They have been fighting over something that is obsolete and worthless.
