Did he genetically create a brand new strain to come closer to what the ARMY is asking for?

Or did he just selectively test and breed existing DS worms to find a different mixture to get a stronger less elastic fiber that is closer to what the ARMY is looking for?

There is a huge difference and it could point to issues going forward.
