If anyone is interested the Jitterbug Flip phone for senior citizens is something you should look at.

During this past storm my FIL lost power along with his phone service connected to his cable. He had an iphone but couldn't hear crap at his advanced age.

I bought him the Jitterbug through Amazon had it delivered next day and set up all his contacts on line since you have the ability to control the account for the user. The phone is in his name but the charges are applied to my credit card.

I really like the feature of being able to update his phonebook on line which is immediately downloaded to his phone book.

The display is very large and he loves the way it works and the volume on the speaker is now something he can hear.

He still is having issues with his home phone due to the cable issue but at least now he can get calls and call people.
