Senator Graham, Why did you interrupt Michell's role exactly when she had introduced a focus on July 1 1982?

In that July 1 entry, Kavanaugh notes plans to go to “Timmy’s for skis with Judge, Tom, P.J. Bernie and ... Squi.” “Skis” is short for “brewskies,” or beer.

It’s a gathering that Kavanaugh detailed in responding to questions from Mitchell:

MITCHELL: The entry says, and I quote, go to ‘Timmy’s for skis with Judge, Tom, P.J. Bernie and ... Squi?’

KAVANAUGH: Squi. It’s a nickname.

MITCHELL: To what does this refer, and to whom?

KAVANAUGH: [after explaining the “Tobin’s House” part] It looks like we went over to Timmy’s. You want to know their last names, too? I’m happy to do it.

MITCHELL: If you could just identify: Is ‘Judge’ Mark Judge?

KAVANAUGH: It is. It’s Tim Gaudette, Mark Judge, Tom Kaine, PJ Smyth, Bernie McCarthy, Chris Garrett.

If she was going any further with that line of questioning, we never found out — Sen. Lindsey
Graham (R-SC) took over with his now-infamous rant, and we never heard from Mitchell again.

Finally, Mitchell’s analysis ignores the fact that some corroboration already does exist. First, Kavanaugh’s own calendars show that during the time period Ford reported he socialized with the several of the key people she singles out. In fact, all of the boys that Dr. Ford can identify from that party were in Kavanaugh’s calendar on July 1, 1982. Second, both Kavanaugh and Ford’s families were members of a country club where Ford says she had been before the attack, which is consistent with her testimony that she was in her bathing suit during the attack. Third, statements in his own yearbook and by high school and college classmates point to a man who drank excessively and was an aggressive drunk, which is also consistent with Ford’s testimony and the nature of the assault. Finally, Ford’s statements in 2012 and 2013 are corroboration for her Senate testimony that would be admissible in a court of law. [emphasis added]

Senator Graham, Your publicly announced plan was that Mitchell would do all the questioning of Ford
for GOP senators. Why did you interrupt her questioning so abruptly when she got to July 1, 1982.

Is a line of questioning which could have been taken to Lindsey Graham if the FBI investigation had been free, full and fair.

Graham's reply could have been that he felt they had heard enough.
