It will happen here - Done well - SNAP, Welfare, Section 8 housing, and a number of other things will be rolled into the system paying those whom need the money.

When the economy heads downward, it will happen fast. Our Congresscritters will have to react fast, and that is the fastest thing they will be able to do. 80% of Folks in this country only have enough to live for one month. The choice will be between Rioting for basic amenities or calm.

We have a lot of wierd stuff going on here in the U.S. ... For example, Australia has a matched 2% tax for medicare ... We only have 1.45% - And most people agree that Health care should cost about 4% of people's income on the average.

Kudos - Australia got that one right.
