Great shot! Would have like to have covered some of my 4,710 miles that way. My father was in the Air Force, in those days called the Army-Air Force He was in pilots training and no doubt was destined to be a great one save for one problem- he couldn't land the plane. In those days they'd wash you out for little things like that. Probably saved his life as the attrition rate was horrendous for pilots in WW2. I think something like 80% died. He ended up in statistics, keeping track of plans landing and taking off at an airfield in TX. He made Captain and never stopped giving orders, lol He is in heaven now, guaranteed after raising a big Irish brood- already had his hell on earth :)
