You said you "was thinking about refugees". Really? Then why did you accuse him of being anti-immigrant? Something that is totally different than be against illegal immigration. It seems you are the one misrepresenting your own words, and others thoughts expressed against illegal immigration.

Sanctuary cities policies are not in place to protect legal immigrants, or refugees. They are in place to protect ILLEGAL-immigrants.

There's a big difference!
