I think Roach has got it wrong about China. Congress is simply asking the Chinese to let their currency float and allow the global market to determine its value. Why don't the Chinese do this? Because they know that the Yuan would immediately appreciate, and hurt their trade balance.

No doubt the U.S. is mostly responsible for its trade deficit, but that does not mean we should take all the blame, and allow others to take advantage of us.
