I think we'll be OK on this. The Trump tariffs are hurting some farmers big time and so this will clearly be a way to pay them back. The slow decline of the tobacco industry can be supplanted by hemp, which literally grows like a weed and has many uses.

Over 60% of folks think MJ should be legalized and while there are a lot of puritans in our government, this movement will not be held down forever. And what is the non-controversial side of the MJ industry: CBD, which is getting huge mainstream coverage.

Also, our president knows that Jeff Sessions is against it, so why wouldn't he push for it just for spite. Also, as the self-proclaimed businessman-president, even he sees the economic benefits in taxes.

So this is going to happen and soon.
