A new poll shows more voters disapprove of Trump’s Presidency than ever before and says 63% of voters support the Mueller probe, as Trump renews attacks on both the probe and the Department of Justice and Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, says he’s putting together a counter-report challenging Mueller’s legitimacy. Editor at Large of “The Weekly Standard”, Bill Kristol, tells “The Beat” that “repeated assaults” against the Mueller probe and DOJ by Trump and his surrogates have “fundamentally” failed.

Rachel Maddow reports on the unexpected revelation of the guilty plea and cooperation agreement from Republican operative Sam Patten with the Robert Mueller investigation, and the new insight that offers on the Trump campaign's data operation and the flow of foreign money to the Donald Trump inauguration fund.

Notes:

Prosecutors speaking in Patten's case were from the US Attorney's office in D.C., and from the National Security Division, Main Justice, so it seems to be another case handed off by Mueller. Members of Mueller's team observed from front row seats. Patten's next court appearance is set for Oct. 31 - Halloween. Patten also lied to the Senate Intelligence Committee, who referred him to Justice for criminal prosecution. However, it is not clear at this time whether or not he was charged in relation to that referral. How many others have lied to Congress in matters relating to the Mueller probe? Patten also worked for Cambridge Analytica 2014-15, who Christopher Wylie says, among other things, tested opinions of Americans on Russian expansion in Eastern Europe as early as 2014.

Patten, said a U.S. citizen, a "straw" purchaser, wrote a $50,000 cheque for four Trump inauguration tickets. That guy it seems
was reimbursed by Patten's company, with the company then reimbursed through Serhiy Lovochkin, Yanukovych's chief-of-staff.

Patten came forward voluntarily to prosecutors about just more than a week after this article came out.
