I watched C-SPAN's coverage of the memorial service for Sen McCain in AZ earlier today...brief speaches by his friends including VP Joe Biden were excellent as they sprinkled humor in with words of affection for the man, the patriot they obviously admired. I was reminded of the shallow individual currently occupying the Oval Office - what a difference!

It was very touching to watch Cindy McCain come own the steps of the plane at Andrews tonight and Sect'y of State Jim Mattis greet her with a big hug - they walked arm-in-arm to a designated area to wait for the coffin to come off the plane.

Sen McCain's remains will be in the Capital building tomorrow - McConnell, Ryan, Schumer and Pence are expected to speak.
