shermann7, McCain, had shades of sociopathy, and signs of not.

"I think McCain is a sociopath who would like to bomb half the world which is
unnaceptable to me.

Sociopath vs. Psychopath: What’s the Difference?
[...]
Cold-Hearted Psychopath, Hot-Headed Sociopath'

It’s not easy to spot a psychopath. They can be intelligent, charming, and good at mimicking emotions. They may pretend to be interested in you, but in reality, they probably don’t care.

“They’re skilled actors whose sole mission is to manipulate people for personal gain,” Tompkins says.

Sociopaths are less able to play along. They make it plain that they’re not interested in anyone but themselves. They often blame others and have excuses for their behavior.

Some experts see sociopaths as “hot-headed.” They act without thinking how others will be affected.

Psychopaths are more “cold-hearted” and calculating. They carefully plot their moves, and use aggression in a planned-out way to get what they want. If they’re after more money or status in the office, for example, they’ll make a plan to take out any barriers that stand in the way, even if it’s another person’s job or reputation.

You're right in that McCain was a warmonger. He looks sociopathic too.

The Horrors of John McCain: War Hero or War Criminal?
by Jeffrey St. Clair - Alexander Cockburn
July 20, 2015

The race-baiting panjandrum of Manhattan, Donald Trump, is currently taking flak from the media and politicians for deprecating John McCain’s status as a “war hero”. Trump’s rhetoric is typically bombastic, but this time he may have struck a nerve. Here is a piece that Cockburn and I wrote in 1999 about a psychiatric evaluation of McCain underwent while a prisoner of war in North Vietnam. The psych0logical portrait drawn by Spanish psychiatrist Fernando Barral is that of a deeply narcissistic personality, cold, hardened and largely devoid of human empathy, a man who seemed to view the bombing of civilian populations as a kind of sport. These aggressive personality traits have also characterized his nasty political career.–JSC

Despite What the Press Says, “Maverick” McCain Has a Long and Distinguished Record of Horribleness

What sort of person takes a break from taxpayer-funded cancer treatment and flies 2,000 miles to cast a vote that could result in 22 million people losing their health insurance and tens of thousands of them also losing their lives, then makes a big speech about how messed up the whole process is?

[...]

...while also acknowledging that he is nevertheless, to quote Jimmy Carter, an unrepentant “warmonger .. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/225007-jimmy-carter-mccain-is-a-warmonger .” He has the blood of tens of thousands of innocents, in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Libya, on his hands. And with his vote to move the Republican health care push forward in the Senate this week, he may soon have the blood of tens of thousands of Americans on his hands as well.

Surely while accepting that we can still see some things we appreciate about the guy, without forgetting what an asshole he was in so many ways, too.

For me i can say that i never supported any of McCain's warmongering activities, and i'd guess none of the liberals here
you impugned so easily .. https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=143176785 .. have either.

Then there is

I’ll never forget watching John McCain vote down Obamacare repeal
The Arizona senator’s thumbs down was something to watch.

Yet, you are asst. mod ..
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=143177061 ..
on a board trumpeting an idiot who did all he could to repeal Obamacare. How's that fit?

So if you are supporting, Richard Cordray, in part at least because he favors a universal healthcare system (on the evidence i believe you are), then surely you
must have something nice to say about McCain. Just maybe, toward the end of his life, he could be seen to you as not so overwhelmingly sociopathic in all ways.

As to Trump v McCain, on the evidence available, one looks more psychopathic than the other. And you hold an amod position
on a board supporting him. Maybe you still don't get him because he is not so easy for you to spot. One question is, just
who looks more seriously mixed up than the non-conservatives here you are so self-righteously so very critical of?

Little in reality is black and white.
