Unfortunately, I think CX-717 is in serious trouble. The histo finding was now seen in both primates and rats (the original primate study and the repeat higher dose rat study). The new 3 month studies are in both primates and rats, and the rat study is at approx the same dose as the recent study that produced a repeat of the histo finding (meaning that it's very likely to be seen again). I hate to say it, but I think there's a better than 50/50 chance that CX-717 is probably toast.

Dr. Stoll said a PIPE by early 2007. Cortex is in some deep trouble IMO. Not the end of the world, but deep trouble.
