fuagf,...great post and comments. thanks.

i left the church services th'ang when i was 14 yrs old. i saw the fallacy and the false agendas. it is really true that 'religion is the opiate of the masses'. a bunch of somnambulistic entities walking around claiming they have a connection and they are the chosen ones. LOL. sounds like a great comedy skit ! and it is.

the mention of eradication of the ego and of the phrase 'the mind is a dangerous place to visit.' are mainly phrases that describe my experience as i challenged the ego within me and discovered that my mind is the enemy.

i've said that (the mind is he enemy) to friends when addressing blights this planet is going through, etc. IF that person is still living in a more ego based life they are very challenged that 'the mind is the enemy.' after all, that is where they receive their information and purpose. how can this be the enemy ? good question that they asked. here's what i've found out.

ever notice that the mind takes positions in both sides of the argument ? what i discovered is the minds purpose is to protect the person from any danger, emotionally and psychologically. so whatever it takes to protect me it will supply that information. that information could be literally two opposite positions,...but the mind is protecting me from crashing.

after realizing this, that realization assisted in me crashing and feeling depressed. i felt trapped by my own thoughts. i just listened to my minds directions and it got me in trouble. i can't fault my mind because it was doing it's job. this ball is in my court so its me who has to solve the dilemma i placed myself in.

so if this part is not reliable what is ?,...the intuition and heart.

that is what i follow now.

been meditating since i was 16,...never looked back.

there is so much more to say on the topic. freeing oneself from the clutches of the mind and trusting the heart.

make it an awesome day !
