Phil, maybe this will clarify. Two 1-page posts (not book length) were made adjacent to each other on a thread you moderate. You deleted one, but not the other. The 'other' was made by another moderator. That moderator states publicly that he would not have the 'rule' and it even confuses him, but it is all up to you.

The TOU says:

"Moderators of non-stock-specific boards in the Premium parts of the site are allowed to remove any post that falls into the following categories: Duplicate, Vulgarity, Off Topic, Personal Attack, Violation of Privacy, Threat, Thread Disruption. Each hidden/removed post is reviewed by Admin and either left removed or restored. We do reserve the right to step in if we see blatant abuse of these features.

If a moderator cannot provide equal enforcement of the same rule between different posters on the board then there is a problem that requires ADMIN attention. The issue is not over posters and rules, but rather equal enforcement of the rules.

I hope this helps you see the situation in a different light.

BTW, I had a post deleted on another board, and the moderator told me it was about me, not the message. Still another reason for there to be ADMIN review over errant moderators.

AK

Edit: Aside to Matt. Are you contemplating changing the TOU re moderators who abuse their position? Why?
